The Picture will show you where the EEPROM is located at, but here goes some of the  Manufacturer's Specs and Manual for this model. If you have the BIN file for this model? please let me know and I will post it here.

ThinkPad A20m Features

LCD display
The A20m ThinkPad family includes a large 381-mm 2 (15.0-inch) active matrix display, a 358.1-mm (14.1-inch) active
matrix display or a 307.3-mm (12.1-inch) active matrix display, depending on the model selected.

Video modes
A20m (8 MB SDRAM), A20m (4 MB SDRAM)

Keyboard and TrackPoint with Press-to-Select
The keyboard has the familiar layout of a ThinkPad with function keys that allows quick access to system functions, such as power management control. Use the TrackPoint with Press-to-Select to select objects by pressing the TrackPoint cap.

Processor
The systems have a Mobile Pentium III processor at 700 MHz or 500 MHz, depending on model, and 256 KB of on-board cache. Also available on some models is the Mobile Celeron processor at 500 MHz with 128 KB of on-board cache.

Memory
100MHz, Non-parity, 64-bit SDRAM SO DIMM memory. Expandable to a maximum of 512 MB (dealer expandable to 512 MB, user exandable to 320 MB) with 64, 128, or 256 MB DIMMs. An internal slot is available for one extra memory module for customers who require a memory upgrade. The 64 MB card can be replaced by a qualified sevice representative with a 256 MB card and another 256 MB card added to the extra slot.

PCMCIA
The Type III slot can accommodate two Type I or two Type II, or one Type III PC card. Both 16-bit and 32-bit cards are supported. Both PCMCIA slots contain a ZV port.

PC Card Support Software
The auto configurator and memory device driver enable supported PCMCIA cards by sensing them automatically.
(PCMCIA cards supported by the auto configurator and memory device driver are listed in the Sales Manual.)

Storage
Standard 6.0 or 12.0 GB, depending on model, and optional 6.0, 12.0, and 18.0 GB HDDs are also available. Two HDDs can be used concurrently to offer expanded storage. These S.M.A.R.T. HDDs issue an alert if a failure is pending.

Audio
Excellent sound quality with two stereo speakers, 16-bit stereo audio supporting Sound Blaster Pro, built-in stereo speakers, microphone, and volume control.

One for external stereo speakers or headphone
One for an external microphone
One for line-in
Infrared (IR): IR transceiver for wireless file and data transfer and printing. ThinkPad A20m models are compatible with the Infrared Data Association (IrDA) IR data link specification with speeds up to 4 Mbps.

Compatibility

The IBM ThinkPad A20m is designed to be compatible with peripherals and software products that run on other IBM systems.
PC Card

IBM ThinkPad A20m conforms to the PC Card Standard 95. The new PC Card Standard encompasses both the former 16-bit Release 2.1 card standard and the new 32-bit CardBus card. Other PC CARD adapters that comply with the PC Card Standard may also function, but have not been tested by IBM.

NOTE: Presently available in Windows 95, Windows 98 second edition and Windows 2000.
