Step 5. Once all the screws are off from the bottom of the laptop you can pull out the keyboard bezel and unplug the mouse pad. This will make it very easy to get too the EEPROM because it is behind the mouse pad. At this time you can plug in the keyboard after you take off the Keyboard bezel, this will make it easy to type in the password once you found it.

 

 

 

There is two chips that look alike but make sure that you get the chip that said "24RF08" this is the EEPROM. I put red arrows so you can see which chip it is. This is the EEPROM which you will have to connected the 24RF08 Reader too.

 

 

 

This is the EEPROM which you will need to connected the 24RF08 reader too. Please make sure that you connected to the right EEPROM.

 

 

 

Step 6. This part you try to recover the password by using the device and decoding the password. Here is a example of the IBM computer I am trying to recover and the computer that is running the software. This is about it for the tutorial !
