Step 3. In this step you don't have to take off the keyboard but you have to make sure that it is lose. You can always disconnect the Keyboard and then plug it back on later, when I worked on the laptop I will just take off the screws for the keyboard so I can get to the rest of the laptop. 

Step 4. After we loosen the screws for the Keyboard we need to take off the rest of the screws from the bottom of the laptop because this will take off the Keyboard bezel so we can get to the EEPROM. Please make sure that you don't mix's up the screws.
