Ibm ThinkPad R51 Tutorial

I am going to give you a quick tutorial on how to recover a password on a ThinkPad R51, I hope this helps some people out? One of the first step to recovering the password is READ the hardware manual for your ThinkPad! I have them posted on my website under the EEPROM information. Once you took a good look at the hardware manual and have a idea on what to do. Now let's begin!

Step 1. Turn off the power to the laptop and flip the laptop around so you can see the bottom end. We will need to take off the battery from the laptop so we can get to the EEPROM.

Step 2. After we take off the battery from the laptop we will now need to take off the screws for the Keyboard. The screws for the Keyboard are marked on the laptop so please don't mix up the screws with other screws. Here are some pictures to give you a example of what needs to be taken off.
