Step 8. Once you took all the screws off the UPS, please make sure that it is still laying down flat on your table. Let’s now pull the cover off the UPS but PLEASE BE VERY CAREFUL doing this. Move the bottom of the cover up towards you but be very careful you don’t pull on the wires that are connected inside. Here goes the picture of the battery where I already disconnected the wires to the battery. I mark the wires with a Red arrow so you can see that there is a red and black one that connects to the battery.

You can pull the cover a bit back so you can see some more of the UPS.

Once I disconnect the battery wires, I can now take out the battery. The wires are mark with a red arrow.

This is the old battery that was in the UPS, please make sure that you have the right part number if you are going to replaced the battery. The part number for this battery is: GP 1270 F2 which is 12v 7.0ah You can find the battery online, here goes a website where I replaced my own battery from: www.apexbattery.com

Here goes a top picture of the battery

Here goes a picture of the UPS without the battery

Step 9. Now we are going to put in the new battery into the UPS. Here goes a picture of the new battery.

Top of the New Battery

Putting in the new battery, please make sure that you connected the right wires onto the right posted on the battery or this will cause a BIG PROBLEM! So the black wires goes to the black terminal on the UPS and the red wire goes on the Red terminal.

Step 11. This is the last part! All you have to do is put the cover back on and put on all the screws you took off the battery and this should be it! You just have now replaced the battery on your Blackout Buster B6U ! The UPS should work great! Now my next thing will be finding out the wires that connected to the data port so I can connected this to my computer. I lost my data cable that goes to my UPS! If anyone knows the pins out that goes on the serial port let me know! Have a good one.
